Q. How long do AliasMobile telephone numbers take to activate once I choose a number?

A. AliasMobile telephone numbers typically activate in less than 2 minutes after you select “Save” on the number selection screen.

Activation wait times greater than 5 minutes could indicate a problem. If this happens, please use the Provide Feedback option under app Settings (the cog icon) to let us know.

Q. If I delete AliasMobile off of my device will I lose my AliasMobile telephone numbers and data?

A. AliasMobile uses your iCloud account on your mobile device to backup your login credentials. If you do not have iCould activated in your iPhone Settings when you register within the AliasMobile app (with your mobile telephone number and email address), then deleting AliasMobile from your device will delete your account credentials and data and you will have to register a new account to use AliasMobile. Any data associated with your deleted account - telephone numbers, contacts, messages, call records and voice messages - will be unrecoverable .

Q. Does AliasMobile keep my information safe and secure?

A. Securing your privacy is our top priority. We do not store or share or sell your data. AliasMobile provides you with a safe, secure and private service to send and receive text messages.  We take the utmost care to protect your privacy.

Q. Is AliasMobile available for mobile devices other than Apple iPhones and iPads?

A. Not at this time.  AliasMobile for Android is estimated for release Q3 2024.

Q. Can I consider my AliasMobile telephone numbers permanent?

A. Generally, AliasMobile telephone numbers may be considered permanent. However, if you delete your AliasMobile account, or delete AliasMobile from your device while it is not backed up to your iCloud account, your AliasMobile telephoine numbers will be deleted and become unrecoverable.

Please note that telephone numbers not used for an extended period of time may be reclaimed by AliasMobile.

Q. Can I use AliasMobile outside of the United States? 

A. Yes.  Use AliasMobile from anywhere you have a strong cellular data or WiFi signal to your mobile device. 

Q. How do I report an AliasMobile related service problem?

A. Please report all issues via the “Send Feedback” option under the cog symbol Settings menu on the Profiles screen within the AliasMobile app.  If you cannot successfully log into the app, please email us at info@aliasmobile.com and we will get back to you with a timely response.

Q: Can I use AliasMobile to send text messages in areas where there is no WiFi or data network available? 

A: No.  For texting, AliasMobile requires you to have either a cellular data service plan and data network signal through your cellular carrier, or WiFi Internet access to work. If you are unsure if you have a data service plan, contact your cellular carrier.  Common cellular carriers include; Verizon Wireless, AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile.

 Q: Does using AliasMobile service count against my cellular data service plan with my cellular carrier?

A:  When you use AliasMobile over WiFi for texting, AliasMobile does not count against your cellular data plan. If no WiFi is available, AliasMobile will use your cellu voice and data services to process calls and support text messaging.

Q. Can I text internationally using AliasMobile?

A. Yes.

Q. Once I delete a text message, is there a way to recover the message?

A. No. The message is unrecoverable.

Q. Can I port (move) my existing cell number to AliasMobile?

A. Number porting is not supported at this time.
